Cluster meeting: The building envelope as an energy systemOn September 30, 2025, Bayern Innovativ GmbH invites you to a cluster meeting at the Energy Campus Nuremberg. The focus will be on building-integrated photovoltaics, smart facade solutions, and interdisciplinary exchange between architecture, energy technology, and research.
Experts will present practical examples, including a lecture by Dr Jens Böke: “Innovative concepts for facade-integrated solar geothermal energy (BIPV BIST” – An opportunity to learn about new technologies and ideas from our Priedemann Facade-Lab.

R&D’s “Active and Adaptive” are among the top 6 finalistsCongratulations to our R&D-Team on being a top 6 finalist at “Metals in Construction 2020 Design Challenge: Transform a Façade” in New York!
Special congrats to Paul-Rouven Denz and Puttakhun Vongsingha – so proud of your accomplishments with “Active and Adaptive”.
The competition’s challenge: “Submit your vision for transforming 63 Madison Avenue’s facade to increase penetration of sunlight into the interior and enclose the building using a curtain wall system that balances transparency, views, and energy performance.” (Quote from metalinconstruction.org)
What a great opportunity to work on such an important topic. We really enjoyed the competition and conference!
